Our Brussels-based House of Communication (labeled Great Place to Work) is looking for a Junior Accountant to join its team of around 120 employees.
Within our House of Communication, as Junior Accountant you will play a key role in supporting our finance department and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You will work closely with senior accountants and management to gain valuable experience in accounting and finance.
Accountabilities
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, verify expense reports, and manage vendor and customer accounts.
- Journal Entries: Assist in preparing and recording journal entries for various transactions.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of cash balances.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Expense Tracking: Monitor and track expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Data Entry: Accurately enter financial data into accounting software and spreadsheets.
- Assist in Audits: Provide support during internal and external audits by gathering necessary documents and information.
- General Accounting Support: Assist senior accountants with various accounting tasks and projects as needed.
Skills
- Bachelor degree or equivalent per experience.
- Computer skills on MS Office and accounting software.
- Knowledge of SAP, Eurojob and/or Maconomy is a plus.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Autonomous, pragmatic and hands on.
- Team player.
- Curious with the willingness to learn and taking initiatives.
- Fluent in Dutch or French and English is a plus.
