Our Brussels-based House of Communication (labeled Great Place to Work) is currently seeking a Digital Content Specialist for clients such as Aldi, Mars, BMW Group, Shell… We are in search of a passionate and driven professional who excels in creating and optimizing content and communication strategies. The ideal candidate is a digital enthusiast who possesses expertise in navigating various digital touchpoints, from 1-2-1 communication to SEO web/app content. We value meticulous attention to detail, particularly in quality and grammar control, and are eager to welcome this individual to join our team of approximately 120 dedicated employees.

As a Digital Content Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in crafting compelling content that aligns with our brand's strategic vision. Your responsibilities will involve translating brand and campaign strategies into content that resonates with our target audience across various platforms, ensuring alignment with our brand identity. Additionally, you will be responsible for optimizing content performance, including SEO strategies, to enhance visibility and engagement. Proficiency in both French and Dutch is essential for this role, with fluency in additional languages such as German or English considered advantageous.

Key responsibilities

  • Content Creation and Optimization: Create compelling, relevant, and engaging content across various digital platforms, including websites, social media, email campaigns, and more. Optimize content for search engines and user experience to drive organic traffic and conversions.
  • Content Strategy Development: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement content strategies that align with the overall brand objectives and target audience preferences. Analyze data and insights to adjust strategies accordingly for maximum effectiveness.
  • Content Distribution and Promotion: Develop and execute distribution plans to ensure content reaches the intended audience through appropriate channels. Utilize social media, email marketing, influencer partnerships, and other tactics to maximize content visibility and engagement
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor the performance of content campaigns and initiatives using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and social media insights. Generate reports to track key metrics, evaluate success, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Content Governance and Compliance: Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, legal requirements, and industry regulations. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to review and approve content before publication.
  • User Experience Optimization: Continuously assess and improve the user experience of digital platforms by analyzing user behavior, feedback, and performance data. Implement changes to enhance usability, accessibility, and overall satisfaction.
  • Collaboration and Cross-functional Communication: Work closely with internal teams, including designers, developers, marketers, and project managers, to coordinate content creation, publication, and promotion efforts. Communicate effectively to ensure alignment and seamless execution of content initiatives.
  • SEO Strategy Implementation: Collaborate with the digital marketing team to develop and implement SEO strategies that improve organic search rankings and drive traffic to digital content. Conduct keyword research, optimize on-page elements, and implement technical SEO best practices to enhance website visibility and performance in search engine results pages (SERPs). Regularly monitor SEO metrics, such as keyword rankings, organic traffic, and click-through rates, and make data-driven recommendations for optimization and improvement. Work closely with web developers and content creators to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into all aspects of digital content production and website development.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain a strong commitment to quality by conducting regular reviews and quality checks throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure all deliverables meet the agency's high standards and client expectations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in digital project management and communication. Integrate new approaches to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field: A relevant educational background provides foundational knowledge in marketing principles, communications strategies, and content creation techniques.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with copywriting, content planning & content journeys, and digital communication: Demonstrated experience in creating and managing digital content across various platforms, including websites, social media, email campaigns, etc. Experience in developing content strategies is essential.
  • Fluency in Dutch, French, and English, both orally and in writing: Strong language skills are necessary for creating content in multiple languages and effectively communicating with diverse audiences.
  • Good knowledge of SEO, Google & Adobe Analytics, and experience with writing SEO reportings & consultancy reports: Proficiency in SEO techniques, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and analytics interpretation, is critical for optimizing content for search engines and measuring performance.
  • Structured and autonomous work approach with a can-do mentality: Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively to meet deadlines and deliver results consistently.
  • Team player: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, marketers, and project managers, to achieve shared goals.
  • Creative mindset with an eye for detail: Ability to think creatively and innovatively while paying attention to detail to create engaging and impactful content that resonates with the target audience.
  • Incorporation of AI in daily work: Familiarity with artificial intelligence tools and technologies used in content creation, optimization, and analysis can enhance efficiency and effectiveness in digital content management.
